Good: nice interface....its the only thing that was really change from previous version. Looks cool. Streaming TV contents and movies....well, its another ploy to buy monthly services. Bad: Will not and or confusing to set up Streaming of computer content to Stream on Roku.....and mostly will not stream your computer's local content via WiFi.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Poor Local Server

I am cancelling Comcast and excessive charges for TV services. Using Netflix streaming and am looking as other monthly services for its replacement.
Cons: Had High Qualty Images, EASY TO SET UP, Excellent Streaming

The Roku 3 is super easy to setup and navigate between services. I like the simplicity, no so-called "bells and whistles". The main menu shows all the services your signed up for first, simply click on the one you want. The streaming is reliable and fast unlike the built in streaming on my Samsung Smart TV. Forget the Smart TV and get a Roku instead.

This product is an alternative to people who are looking to upgrade their TV time. Using Roku you have a choice of what you really want to watch and when. I am still dicovering all the channels in it and I like the fact that you can try it and if you do not like it, get rid of it. Variety, intelligent shows, entertainment on demand at a low cost. The choice is yours to make.

Works as advertised with technical flaws

The Roku 3 is a great platform for streaming movies, television series, and other video clips. It is compact, uses little power, and the user interface is intuitive. With various channels to choose from with popular options such as Netflix and niche options that I also enjoy such as PBS, Smithsonian, TEDS, and VEVO, there is something for everyone. There are a few drawbacks that keep this from having a five star review. First, the home screen has a tendency bog down over time and you must pull the power to the unit to restart it and restore the speedy navigation that you once had. Second, the feature of the remote that allows it to work without line-of-sight makes use of the 5 GHz wireless band and if you have the Roku connected to your wireless router on that same band, it creates its own wireless hotspot at the same frequency, causing contention for signal. Third, the home screen of the unit shows advertisements on the right-hand side. While I understand this likely pays for the continued service of the unit at no cost, it still diminishes one's impression after paying for the unit outright.

Love it. Not only is it a breeze to use it saves us a ton of money by not having to buy add on cable channels. I haven't tried the headphone option on the remote yet but plan on buying another one for the bedroom soon. Great product.
