Hubby and I are enjoying our Roku 3! We love that it gives us even more viewing than TV. We get channels and shows that we cannot get with TV. We highly recommend this product!

Since I don't have cable or satellite service, this is a real money saver for me - The average basic cable here is $85/month, but I pay less than $15/month to subscribe to my favorite services.

We use it mostly for Amazon Prime movies, it is much better than when we were using the HTPC's. I have now disconnected the HTPC. We have 30MB cable broadband.

My first Roku

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I've been watching subscription services more often and I wanted to try a streaming box for the TV. Roku has earned a lot of customer loyalty, so that was the basis for my product choice (Roku 3 - I cannot compare with other products or previous versions). Setup was easy, and I'm quite happy. The only con is that if I haven't used it for more than a week or so, it freezes and must be unplugged and restarted. Upon restart, the sound does not work and a second restart is necessary. Same pattern every time! Annoying, yes, but not a deal-breaker. I am happy with my purchase!

The future of TV viewing

Even after reading the glowing reviews of the Roku, I was hesitant to "cut the cord" with the cable company. But, an ever-ascending monthly cable bill and limited choices on cable made me take the plunge. Best move I ever made in relation to TV. This Roku ROCKS!! Literally hundreds of channels available, and I can pick and choose what and when I want to watch. I didn't lose anything by switching off of cable; on the contrary, the Roku opened up viewing options that I hadn't even thought of. And they're continually adding new channels as well, so the selection is just going to keep getting better. Highly recommended!!!
