Roku-3 the best streaming device yet

best streamer, the best thing about Roku, is that you can install private apps...written by power users unlike Scr-apple tv...i totally dropped cable..tv and pay for 2nd party apps...netflix, amazon etc... now if roku had an optional built in HD tv tuner that would be fantastic...
Pros: Private Apps Allowed, Easy to configure, Fast Setup, Fast response, Audio From Remote Jack
Cons: Should Allow Chip Upgrade

I use Roku to stream NHL, MLB, Amazon Prime & purchased TV shows, Netflix, HuluPlus, Weather Underground, & Fandango movie previews. It streams 1080p & DD 5.1 audio with our 10Mbps HSI to both of my Roku 3's simultaneously & we can still surf the net on laptop & ipad w/o issues. We use this along with an antenna mounted in the attic & do not miss cable at all. All major networks from Orlando & Tampa come in through the antenna, in all I receive 56 channels with the antenna & stream just about anything I want. More tv available than I have time to watch & I watch about 35hrs each week.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video

I love the fact that the remote allows you to plug headphones in, and cuts the audio on the TV, however you need rechargeable batteries as it does eat power. The MyMedia app should be able to play more than one video format. With the many video formats available these days, the only video format that is available with the only video app that I could find, is not acceptable. Also, apps such as, "Dish Anywhere," "CinemaNow," "Sling Player," "Showtime Anytime," Starz Play" and "Encore Play," should be available on Roku. Many of the apps that are available on Roku are what I consider junk, just as all the music channels are on Satellite TV. Don't get me wrong, the Roku is a super device, and I love it, but if it had the channels I recommended, it would be the most sought after device on the market.
Pros: Fast Setup, Hbo Go Access, MLB, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: No Access To Dish Anywher, No Access To Cinemanow

Roku 2 and 3

Roku 2 and 3 are able to access more channels than the earlier version. Roku 2 and 3 stream high definition with less buffering.

Use with NetFlex, excellent product, like HD is reason we bought. Only one issue: Unit will not boot-up some times, have to un-plug power from the unit to get it to work. Never had this problem with my old unit.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Stop Working During Start

I have had Apple TV and love it. Of course content available on ATV does not match all of my wishes. The Roku3 offered Pandora and Amazon Instant Video (which ATV does not) which I wanted. Soooo, between the two (and with ATV mirroring and Airplay) I have most of the content I want. Now, if the Roku would perform mirroring and Airplay, I would be ecstatic.
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup
