Absolutely love the Roku 3 box, it's easy to set up and use- one thing to remember- not all receivers are equipped to run with, so will save a buy a new receiver to max out sound

Great product was thought to used to replace dish......not yet!!! The free streaming stuff is very limited. If you want to pay it will open up a quite a bit more. Do not know any way to get local channels, except buy a hd antenna. Hopefully the more I play with this, the more I will learn

Love my ROKU!!!

We disconnected cable and phone services and after much research purchased the ROKU 3. It was extremely easy to set-up, entering a password to connect the device to our wifi network, and simply plugging in the device to the TV and an outlet. We primarily use Netflix, which requires a modest monthly fee, and provides copious TV and movie selections to choose from. There are a few free stations, but overall we were very disappointed to find that channels saying they were free simply meant you could belong to the channel for free, but still had to purchase movies, or they only offered short clips or trailers. With that said, many are similar to a movies on demand station. We have had only the ROKU for three months now, and have never looked back. Love, love, love the ROKU. We purchased a ROKU 2 as well and were not able to see much of a difference in performance. For those trying to read reviews and decide whether a ROKU is right for you consider what you primarily watch on TV. A subscription to Netflix offers various TV shows, but not the current season, and possibly does not include a certain show you woud want to watch. It also has a wide variety of movies. HULU Plus would give you access to current TV shows. Again, you might want to check to see if it includes any specific shows you are looking for. Remember most TV shows are free on your laptop as well, and show 3 or more of the most current shows. Hopefully this helps you to weigh your options and understand the ROKU a little better.

The family uses the Roku for their television entertainment and documentaries. There is no shortage of what to watch and everything can be watched when the time is available rather than at a station's whim or schedule.

Pretty Cool with Some Glitches

All-in-in all I like the product. I find that is has two short comings. I used the remote audio through the controller once for a movie, but the feature eats batteries. Rechargeable battery with cradle would be nicer design. I am using wireless connection using DHCP. When the lease expires, I must reconnect again. An auto renewal would be a nice feature to add to software.

Really like this device. Is easy to use and install. It is hooked up to a TV that has only basic channels. This device allows me the opportunity to watch a wide variety of shows not available on basic TV. The Roku is attractive in appearance, small and discreet. I would buy this product as a gift and purchase for my home again and again. I gave it four stars. The fifth star would be given if there was access to more free channels that I would be interested in. Overall, very happy with device.
