I started out with Roku LT and LOVED it!. I could access my Netflix , Hulu Plus and Infowars accounts. My two 3-year old grandkids love playing the games. Then my son bought one for his room. My mom is retired and on a tight budget so I bought her a Roku LT so she canceled her cable channels and saved a lot of money! She is so happy with it. She has all her Christian channels, news and movies and never missed the cable channels. She is in an appt. building keeping noise down and when Roku 3 came out I bought both of us one so she can hook up the ear plugs to the remote and listen to Roku as loud as she wants while going from room to room without bothering the neighbors and I put mine in my bedroom! Then my sisters birthday came so I bought her one! We are a family of Roku lovers with nothing bad to say about them!
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Able To Watch Movies On M, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video

On par or better than Apple TV

I own 2 Apple TV's and decided to give Roku 3 a try when I saw the initiative headphones that plug into the remote. Tons of channels including all the ones I care about like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, MLB.TV and MLS Live. I particularly like the fast forward and rewind functions where you can scroll backwards or forwards and see stills of the scene. Really is innovative in that respect. Also love the fact that the remote control uses wireless and not infrared. I still point the remote out of habit at the box but absolutely no need to do so.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Great Video Controls, Fast Setup, Lots of channels
Cons: Simpler Way To Reboot

One feature I use extensively is Private Channels. These are channels that are not in the Roku channel store. Private channels are added via channel codes found on private channel directory web sites. For instance, the private channel for the Nautilus research ship has been a revelation. You can tune in and ride along with scientists who are exploring the seafloor of major oceans. It's the best TV on TV.

Get a Denon 3313 ci and you can use this by switching between Roku, Homerun, Satellite and DVD. It makes it so easy. As far as Roku, I love Amazon Prime, Hulu plus, Vimeo and the Weather. You will love it to I tell all my friends about how easy it is to use.

Roku is by far the best streaming player available. We use it more than we use cable. And being an Amazon Prime member it not only increases the available programming, it also makes is better than Apple tv. The remote with headphone jack is a fantastic option. I can listen to my movies as loud as I want and my wife can still be sleeping. Overall, a geat product!

First Step to Cutting Cable

I got Roku in a quest to cut the cord to cable TV. It is a great first step. I watch only a few news channels and very few other programs. Sadly, my location prevents me from getting a good signal to get local channels so I cannot get live news (only news clips Roku offers). These are ok but I need live streaming news. Roku has a lot of content - much of it is movies I would class as grade B or lower but it's the same kind of stuff the old video stores would have. The selection of old TV shows is good. You can watch them for free with ads which is ok. Sometimes the buffering is annoying but maybe my internet connection is the problem there - not sure.
