I have several Roku boxes. The Roku 3 is in my living room, the hot spot for video in my home. The best thing about the Roku 3 is the use of the dual band wireless, it is as fast as a wired connection and I find that I watch more now because there are no long waits for downloading. Also the fast forward and reverse are much faster and smoother. The headphone jack on the remote is a great feature to have. The volume control on the remote was another excellent idea. To my surprise there are added channels (like PBS) that weren't available on the Roku HD. I have owned 4 generations of Roku boxes and this one is the best. The one thing I would suggest changing would be an option on the remote or box to have the audio in both the headset and the tv speakers or just the headset. The way Roku 3 works is when you plug in earbuds in the remote the audio cuts out on the tv speakers. Roku 3 is an excellent component of my home media center!

I use roku primarily in lieu of my computer for Netflix/amazon/hbo viewing. Love the search feature that scans all channel options. I wish it had YouTube. That would probably be the topper. As it is, I've already recommended it to several friends. Oh, and the app is fantastic. Great to be able to use my phone as a remote... WITH A KEYBOARD!

Better than an Apple TV

I traded my Apple TV for a Roku 3 and could not be happier. The ATV content is locked by apple, unless you jailbreak it, while the Roku content is open to third party developers. The best is the time warner live TV streaming app on the Roku.

I love searching the newly added channels. I use the netflixs and amazon the most, but I have bought Rokus for both my sister, Dad and Aunt. They love them for the old movies.
