Cons: Remote Doesn't Keyboard, Doesn't turn off, No youtube, No component output

Great alternative to cable

After researching alternatives to the high cost of cable and dish we bought our Roku 3. It performs exactly as expected. We use our Roku to watch movies, documentaries, and listen to music - don't miss network t.v. at all. I love how we can subscribe to only the channels we want to watch. I wish the Roku could capture and project what is on my computer screen - that would give us much more flexibility to easily watch videos and view pictures sent in e-mails, videos directly from the internet, and would open up an unlimited amount of entertainment without having to use extra cables and the hassle it takes to directly link my computer to the t.v. I have recommended this product to several friends.

Good design. Would like more options for Closed Captioning but other than that this is far better investment than Apple TV

I've been telling and showing everyone I know the value of roku. They were quick to fix a firmware issue regarding the sdcard. It's fast, depending on Internet speed. It's worth the price.

I use Roku 3 at home to watch netflix and some other channels. Things I like about Roku 3. 1. The remote and the wifi feature. 2. The Roku app on Android. 3. Easy setup 4. Support for audio out from the remote. 5. Games support on Roku 3. 6. The product is very stable 7. The design of Roku 3. There are few things which I dont like about Roku 3 and would like to see as improvements coming from the newer firmware for the device. 1. There is no youtube support. This is something which is present on most of the devices these days. Not having it on Roku 3 was a disappointment. This would be the first on my list to have in the next upgrade. 2. The USB port needs an application to access the files from a USB storage device. This application is not stable. Or I did not find the right one to use this. First of all I was not able to understand why does the device not have a support for playing various video formats out of the box. Should have been good on these fronts. 3. Another improvement which I would like is to push a streaming video from a youtube like app to the TV from a cellphone. There are some devices available which do this but I believe Roku 3 should also be able to do this. I believe if these three upgrades come to Roku 3, then it is going to be a great device to own. I am not sure why it is not there already. These are very easy to think about. May be these are intentional steps taken by the Roku team. Or may be they are already working on it.
