Thoughtful design, works even better than expected, very happy about subtitle feature, and just as happy with earphone jack for listening late at night without disturbing anyone else...all the better to hear you with my dear....genius move to add PBS as one of the free apps....I love it! Beautiful HD picture! The remote does use up batteries pretty quick with the earphone feature, but lithium batteries are on the market, so no worries!! Highly Recommended
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls
I would recommend this to a friend!

++ Break Free We got the Roku to break free from the asinine, archaic cable networks. It has been great at enabling us to do that and I'm happy to be free. Now we watch what we want, when we want and aren't at the mercy of networks with their endless commercial breaks. Unfortunately breaking free does have its downsides and the Roku 3 isn't completely satisfying. - Channel Apps UI & Performance While the primary Roku interface is great, all the Roku's channel apps have awful UI and are often slow, have chunky performance or are buggy. Even the flagship Netflix and Hulu channels seem dated and slow and occasionally crash. Focus should really be made to improve the interface despite the Roku's hardware limitations. - Lack of Many Key Networks & Quality Channel Apps Many of the current shows we wish to watch are simply not available via Roku and there's but three channels we actually utilize. The rest of the channels are low production or niche. If you have Netflix, you won't need Amazon Video (or vice versa) because they practically carry the same catalogue . We've found third-party solutions to fulfill our needs of watching the shows we want but they require a bit of effort and are therefore less than ideal. I know this all may be out of Roku's control but be prepared to miss out on some popular network shows, debuts, and live events if you go with Roku.
Pros: Netflix, Hulu, Always on, Nhl Gamecenter, Use Remote From Anywhere
Cons: Missing Many Key Networks, Poor Channel Apps Ui

The search is terrific. Only thing that would improve it would be to be able to group the instant and recently watched queues by category
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design
Cons: Slow streaming

Now that you have given yourself the gift of Roku, you will want to get the most out of this portal to the vast world television, movie, and audio entertainment. To do this, first browse and then add your channels to the start menu. Then browse the content of those individual channels and "Add to Instant Que" all the programs of greatest intertest to you. The lightning quick processor allows you to navigate fast, giving you literally thousands of shows to choose from. Then, when you are in the mood to watch a movie or some shows, you have your own custom channel within-a-channel to easily find and select exactly what you're looking for.
~It's usually on from 5am till 2am most days and generally streaming music while I work the web. Rest of free time it's on either on one of my Anime stations or a movie site. I don't find it locking up and needing a boot as much as the 2 and any problems I've had are remote related,(buy at least a 4 pack of IIA's Alka.Batt). She will misbehave if the batteries are weak; when you push a button if the Roku doesn't respond...check THEM, (batteries!) FIRST! ---------------------------- ~Cool Factor: Remote.. Plug in yours headphones or theirs into it and its a portable wifi stereo sound amp for your Roku and whatever your streaming; just your Roku though not everything else that you may be watching. The new OS is pretty good as far as use but I can't really say I prefer it over the 2's OS even though they both use the same now.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Good remote
