Do you really need your cable?

Got one each for my two tvs that are most used. My grand daughter in particular uses it. Sometimes I think there are too many options.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup
Cons: Need To Reset

We use our Rokus to watch Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon video. Since we got the Roku 3 we have cancelled our cable and get all of our shows via over-the-air signal and internet.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Interface, Attractive Design, Small form factor, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video

Once you get the Roku up and running, you will really enjoy having Netflix and FOX News! If you are having trouble setting up, wait a long time and try again. Check your Internet connection, as that might be it. When it doesn't kick on, unplug and wait a few minutes, plug in and try again. Let it warm up and you should be good to go. Can be frustrating to old folks who aren't real technical.

Cons: Difficult setup

Significantly exceeded my high expectations. Setup was a few minutes. Literally plug & play. Only thing required were passwords for network, Hulu+, Amazon Prime, Netflix. We added some of the interesting channels offered but there is so much content we haven't explored. Comcast is not cooperating which is a strategic mistake. Work around using iPad. Streaming technology is accelerating at warp speed & Roku is leading the way. I'm unable to visualize how Roku will deliver a better product. I'm certain Roku has a flexable 5 year plan in place and will execute brilliantly. Bye bye cable.

I was nervous about cutting the cord, but this little device has really eased the transition into a streaming only household. My bill is a fraction of what it once was. By integrating several services into one device, the Roku has really made me comfortable with streaming services.
Pros: Available Channels, IPhone remote app, Global Search, Attractive Design, Mlbtv, Small design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Wifi Remote
Cons: Sloped Remote On Bottom, No youtube channel

Better sync directions for Amazon would be appreciated. I tried for several hours one weekend and even called Amazon for help. Got a foreigner and had a difficult time in communication. Amazon site would not accept Roku Amazon code.

We use this device mostly with Netflix. The new remote is cool as it does not require line-of-sight to operate. Also, audio through the remote allows watching while others read or play nearby. (Even allows leaving the room without missing dialog or pausing the video.)One stop search function is very helpful as well.
