Plays movies from my USB Hard drive

I had been playing round with building a PC with XBMC and adding all the plugins, buying a remote, etc etc but then when the Roku 3 came out it more or less had everything that I wanted. Primarily I had ripped all my DVD collection to a hard drive and I wanted to ply those in an easy way. The Roku 3 gave me that very simple way. Plug in the USB Hard drive and boom I can play my whole collection! Very sweet. No configuration needed, just add the channel USB Player (oh and make sure your audio is configured for AAC on the ripped movies) and you're good to go. Seriously a breath of fresh air. Of course you have all the other good stuff like Netflix, etc.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls

The Roku 3 was the best gift I never expected to get. It replaced my cable plan by use of Netflix and other streaming services - my siblings can play games on it; I can even relax and watch Family Guy when the girlfriend is asleep with the awesome headphone jack remote + wrist band.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

I hate ads...use to Tivo all my shows to fast forward or watch only movies without ads...I can choose channels that I might want to watch.

This is not a "To good to be true" deal

I was hesitant at such things. I look back, WOW, why did I wait? Now I have 2 (Roku2 and a Roku3). I use the Roku3 with headphones in the bedroom so I can watch TV while my wife sleeps. This system is not "To good to be true"...it's awesome! I love the international channels and radio stations, better coverage of news and info than local coverage.
Pros: Fast Setup, Crazy Easy, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: None at this time

Great Little Machine Roku 3

Daily user. A senior and I did the setup 5 minutes tops. I tried another streamer and took it back after an hour of no setup. Sorry Google TV and no Hulu Plus. Roku has Hulu Plus, Netflick, Amazon Prime, and more. Soon satellite will be history. Liked Roku so much we now have 3 in our house. Yes we are a Roku family.
Pros: Goes Anywhere, Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design

Better than the Roku 2. I have both the Roku 2 and 3 now. I love both of them, but the ability to watch TV at night with the headphone jack takes the 3 to a new level of greatness. No longer do I have to suffer from the small screen of the tablet or the super hot laptop in bed. My Wife can sleep while I watch Netflix.
