Faster and a pretty interface, but...

This is the best way to use most streaming services, especially Amazon Instant video. Responsive and easy to navigate, the channel selection is unparalleled. Sadly, the sleek new menu freezes if I let it sit for a day. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to unfreeze it. The same happens on the Roku 2 since the new UI pushed to it as well.
Pros: Great Search, Great Menus, Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Freezes After A Day

Roku 3 is a "mighty midget" because, even though it's amazingly small, it has plenty of great features AND a super selection of viewing choices.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Unobtrusive, Attractive Design

I dropped my Comcast tv subscription next day after i bought roku and leaf antena.

This is the first Roku player I have every used so I can't compare it to the earlier models but I still love it. It's easy to use, has a good selection of channels, and the headphone jack in the remote is great. The only thing I don't like is that you can't turn it off at night unless you unplug it. It's not a big deal for me because my box is in a place that is easy to access, but I can see it being a problem for others.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: No off button

Got tired of the increasing charges from satellite TV and redundant shows as well as contracts. I tried Roku and was immediatly hooked on he variety of content for both paied and gratis viewing options. We have the Roku 2 and recently purchased the Roku 3 to put in our bedroom since it has the built in head phone jack in to the remote so my wife can watches her show when I wan to sleep. Love it!
