Huge Upgrade in Performance from Roku 2

I received the Roku 3 last Christmas. I thought number 2 was awesome. Roku 3 hands down has great performance. It had no problem finding my wireless N frequency and sticks to it like glue. My router is a Netgear I am using as a wireless repeater off another Netgear that is surrounded by computers and monitors so the wireless signal on that one gets squashed. I have Playon as a file server. The Playon app works great on the Roku 3. I am able to stream pictures and movies to my 50" led backlight. I would recommend Roku 3 for anyone wanting a seriously good way to get all the internet has to offer. Well worth the cost.
Pros: Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Simple Controls

Goes Offline Every Day

We have two Roku2s, and this Roku3, all connected to our home wireless network. Broadband is mid-tier FiOS. Only when the Roku3 is idle (like overnight) does it take itself off the wireless network. Every day. I have to go through the tedius process to reattach it to our wireless network, which is a pain. Prefer the Roku2s, which keep a rock-solid connection to our wireless network when idle. I've exchanged the Roku3 with one of the Roku2s, and the Roku2 maintains a wireless connection, but the Roku3 goes offline even at the Roku2's original location.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Goes Offline Daily
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Big Step up from my prev Roku

This was my birthday present this year.. I already had 3 roku's on all my TV's. I got this one mainly because of the faster connection, and the headphones on the remote.. I watch a lot of Anime and the wife does not care to listen to Japanese.... so thats a great option. I have no complaints about it yet, My prev roku's had problems with the remotes keys tearing off, so far this one is holding up. I watch about 2 to 3 hours a day on my Roku. if it was up to me I'd cut the cable..
Pros: Better More Robust Remote, Faster Than Previous Roku, Fast Setup, Easy to use

I mostly use my Roku to watch movies and TV shows on Netflix, Hulu, and other cable channel apps. The Netflix app does not always cooperate and most the time when I end am episode, I have to close out of the app and restart it to watch the next episode. There are many apps available on the Roku, but many require extra fees and subscriptions. There aren't many apps that are truly free. With that being said, the Roku is by far the best streaming device to date. It's easy to use and it is nice to be able to watch all of my streaming services in one place.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easily Swap Tvs, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: A Little Pricy, Need More Truly Free Apps

We can catch almost any Major League Baseball Game in progress or after it has been completed all season long and no commercials. We have our choice of the home broadcasters or visitors. My wife loves the Twins, Yankees and Rangers. I love to watch Boston, Kansas City, Colorado and San Francisco. We are enthusiastic Roku users during the baseball season. Great Movie choices anytime day or night for the whole family.

I LOVE my Roku. Easy set up.. Compact and small receiver. Remote has a place to use ear buds. I have only one slight complaint, the remote goes through batteries. It's a small price to pay for excellent service!
