Love my roku

I use it primarily to watch MLB.TV. Netflix gets used quite a bit too. I watch one of those everyday with my roku. The newest revision of the software really bugs me. It's way slower than the last version even on the faster Roku3. The giant 1/2 add is ridiculous!!! The home key on the remote takes you over to the settings menu rather than back to your channels like before. It's rare that I have to use the settings menu, this is an unneeded change.
Pros: Great streaming device, Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: New Software Sucks, Software Slower Than Last

I love my Roku 3. I had seen older versions of Roku and thought it was pretty cool but when I heard of the Roku 3 was coming out I planned on getting one and stop using a gaming system to stream ... I love everything it has to offer and really enjoy all the new channels which have been added . Great investment

Overall works well. More good free apps would be nice. Roku sometimes freezes & you need to unplug it to reboot it.

The product has enough capability to deliver program from netflix or other movies but it lacks the capability to deliver live programs through DishWorld. It has network buffer problem although I wired connected roku with 12 mbps data speed.All trouble shoot from dishworld and Roku failed.My only purpose to get Roku was to watch international live program. Also Roku need to include youtube.

Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

I really like the search engine a d the channel availability. Fantastic picture, it's actually better then our cable. On the negative: it freezes up and since it has no power button, you have to unplug it, which is a pain. Freezing is rare, but it does occur. The search engine across multi channels is great, but the key entry is cumbersome using the arrows. The ability to use a phone keypad type entry with number keys for universal remotes would be a plus. I use a Logitech remote and it works great with it.

Simple User Interface

Love this thing, I work from home so it's been a great way to stream music, movies or have the news running in the background without having to tie up valueable CPU on my work machine. One con that i experience with this roku 3, I keep having to reconnect to my network via wifi after an extended amount of time of non use. None of my other devices using my network require having to manually reconnect but its just a minor inconvience.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Network Connectivity

I use my Roku 3 to stream Netflix, watch TED Talks, and Revision 3, along with some other channels. I also use it to view my own content via the USB viewer channel. I love that it's easy to navigate the menus, add and delete channels, and that it's so fast to respond. There is nothing that I would change about this media player. I say skip all of the other media players and get a Roku 3.

Super easy setup even for a non- techie like me! It practically set its self up....I loved it so much I bought another for our Master bedroom! That seems to be the only draw back I have found....my husband and I have vastly different tastes in movies/tv that we never see each other any more....lol...but seriously we both are enjoying the endless choices in home theater entertainment!
