I have a Samsung SmartTV and love it, but still bought a fourth Roku for it since its interface is vastly better. I have (4) Rokus now, use them for accessing Netflix, Hulu and other internet channels. Not having to maintain line of sight with the Rolu has allowed me to hide it in cabinets and not have wires running everywhere. Very clean to use because of this I would pay a lot extra for a deluxe version that included a volume control, even if it had to be an IR remote. I just wish it would access content from my ReplayTV designed by the same guy!
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Fast Setup

Super small and unobtrusive. easy intuitive remote. only downside is that this seems to drop connection more than previous incarnations, but still only drops connection infrequently.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

Can't I please watch PBS?

I had an original Roku, then moved up to Roku 2 and now 3. I got the Roku 3 primarily to watch PBS in a second room. But the PBS streaming is brutal. Constantly refreshing. Even with streaming speed Internet and lowering the preferred resolution on Roku. And the box wouldn't get past the screen saver until I finally moved it away from my Apple TV. I would rather pay for shows on iTunes then try to watch them on Roku. I would not recommend it to someone wanting a spectrum of recent PBS shows. But overall, it's a good product. Also, I do not have any cable service. Just Apple TV, Roku, and BluRay with wifi.
Pros: Fast Setup
Cons: Gets Stuck On Screensaver, Poor Pbs Channel

Wish Roku had a switch to turn off

I like it so far... It was easy set up and works great for streaming movies and TV program. But I wish ROKU had a switch to turn off instead I had to pull of the cord. It I don't pull off the cord to turn off, the ROKU Box get too hot and it's not energy saving on my electric bill as well. :(

We use ours all the time. It is our t.v. And we love most things about it, such as the channels well that is all we use we do not play games on it ... Yet any way. Ours freezes often but it plays well with the other one that we have. Yes we loved it so much we have two!

We watch Roku almost exclusively, now, but AT&T has a cap of 150GB a month and charge $10 for every 50GB after that. Will probably switch to Time-Warner soon. My Roku is difficult to restart, sometimes. I have to unplug it, but it keeps saying no video signal, so I have to reseat the HDMI cable to make it work. When first setting it up, I had to hook it up to an ethernet cable to upgrade the software, before it would connect to wireless at all. Other than that, it works fine. I wish there were more channels.
Pros: Simple Controls
Cons: Difficult To Reset

roku fail.... opens market 4 competition

Bought one and it wouldnt play any streaming videos( all pixelated) got a second one and it crashes grime time to time and crashes everytime you play movies via USB drive.
Pros: Has All The Basics
Cons: Doesnt Fuction Properly, Crashes Out
