My LG TV had some apps like Netflix that were never updated and the Roku 3 gives me an updated Netflix app and so much more. Going to drop cable which I never watch much anyway, with Netflix and Roku 3 I'm set for my viewing pleasure.

I was so happy to see how plug and play the Roku is. I use it in my home office while working, at the end of the day I take it into the living room to share with the household. I love it so much I will probably buy a second one.

Best unintentional find ever!

My husband and I quit Comcast over a year ago. When I took the boxes and the remote controls into the Comcast office the lady asked me what are you gonna watch? I told her I was tired of the television and I had Netflix. We stumbled upon ROKU at Best Buy one day. I had no idea what it was but I bought it. It was super easy to hook up, the remote control is wonderful, and there is fantastic spiritual programs included. It is wholesome and a breath of fresh air after watching the junk on television for over the last 15 years. And it's fabulous not to watch the one-sided news programs anymore! Absolutely love it.

I have had a mostly positive experience with my Roku 3. The main complaint I have is the slow response time under certain conditions.. I notice it most when I'm watching episodes of a series. When an episode finishes it takes quite a long time (45 sec. - 2 minutes) for it to respond and switch to the next episode. When I try to select a different episode, it won't let me for a while. I click, but it ignores me. Annoying! Other than that, I have no issues with my Roku 3 and would recommend it.

Cons: Slow response
