We have been off cable TV for years. This is a great product to catch the few PBS shows we enjoy and watch movies on amazon video without spending a small fortune on cable. We have a relatively slow Internet but streaming works fine.

I've been using a 2XD for about a year. So, the addition of the new Roku 3 was a revelation that continues. I use both boxes and the Roku 3 continues to amaze. Although I have the new interface on both boxes now (the upgrade to the 2XD as painless), the speed and consistency of the new Roku 3 is amazing. It has pretty much eliminated stalls and breaks. The 1080p picture is amazing when both Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant are used. All in all, a great investment. I plan to convert my old XD to a new Roku 3 in the near future.

Roku has NAILED IT

So I have bought a Roku, Roku2 HD, and now my Roku 3. My first two models were good, but not quite there. Intermittent connectivity due to poor internal antennas along with a remote that was IR instead of RF (that is I had to point my remote at the old Roku's to make them work). I am amazed at how this company adapts the customers feedback. Does the new Roku 3 handle HD out of the box? Check! Does the the new Roku HD have an RF remote? CHECK! Does the new Roku HD have a proper WiFi Antenna? Double Check! I can even stream HD PBS now (impossible with earlier models). Bottom line, if you were waiting for something better, or wanting an Apple TV, don't bother. Get the Roku 3. It will stream EVERYTHING you would ever want...Properly.
