It is a fine product with abundant video and audio apps both free and paid that justify purchase. I like it that I can bring the digital world of audio to my collection of older stereo receiver amplifiers by routing Roku through TV and on to amplifiers. An older analog amplifier with good speakers doing Pandorais a good thing.

I live in the mountains, and apart from watching internet tv/movies, I use my Roku for listening to radio and Pandora. I have it connected to my amp which connects to speakers throughout the house. I had the original model for about 3 years, when suddenly my favorite radio station became incompatible with it. I bought the newest model, which solved that problem, but no longer had audio inputs that I could run other devices through. That was a significant loss to me.

No repeat shows

I quit cable because so many shows were just repeats and calling it an encore performance did not make it easier to swallow. So many channels, so little choice. Now the only time I watch a repeat of a show is when I choose to watch it again. I have plenty of choices. When I lost my remote I was so happy that I could turn my smartphone into a remote. Fantastic!

Use it primarily in a home without cable, only internet. Allows watching free content that comes with the Roku ( and there is plenty!) and paid movie/show content (I use Netflix and Amazon). So simple to use - one of the best setup guides around!

Cons: Almost Too Much Content

This is our third Roku and we love it. Had tried the Vizio CoStar but found it clunky and slow.
