It works for what I want

I also have a ROKU-2. When the time came for adding another ROKU, the "3" was the same price as the "2". I got the "3". I use the "3" to stream movies via wireless in one room and use the "2" in another room for the same purpose but via my LAN. Both work pretty much the same as to quality for me and expectations are met. The Audio thing for the "3" is inconsequential and of no use to me; After six months, I have never set it up. Would be nice to have YouTube. PD
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Fast Setup
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

I use this roku daily, mostly while watching Netflix. the only problem I found is that the batteries wear out quickly when using headphones. using headphone input allows you to listen in private. real cool item. would recommend to anyone.

Have stopped wasting money on Dish Network, and said goodbye to network TV for good Roku has helped us change our lives for the better.

Generally easy to use

Overall, a good product. My only complaint was recent firmware updated that caused it to disconnect from my wireless internet. I was required to hook it up to my ethernet in another room. I also had to bring my TV to that room because my monitors have direct port rather than HDMI.
Pros: Easy to setup, Fast Setup
Cons: Poor Design, Firmware Update Locked It

Best thing out there for streaming!

This Roku exceeds all other streaming devices I have had. I tried to go cheap with other competitors and they were horrible. This Roku has dual wi-fi so you get great reception no matter where you are in the house. The remote has earbuds so if you want you can watch your movies and not bother others. The remote shuts the volume of on the tv and there is a little volume control on the side of the remote. The remote is radio controled so no need to point it at the roku.This version is also much faster in everyway. Plus they put a little weight in the body so the cord doesn't drag it around as in previous models.

Small but Powerfull

I am impressed with the simplicity of design and user interface.Easiest gadget I ever ownrd to set up and use. The only con I may have has to do with the price.Seeing that there are many such devices out there that have simular function and programing at 25-50% the cost as the Roku 3. All in all I am not disappointed with the Roku 3 at all. But i think it would serve its purpose best when your trying to make it thru the winter days and have cabin fever.Mainly because there are so many choices in channel sellection you could spend days just looking thru all of them.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video

So far the new Roku 3 has been a terrific item in our home. Each model seems to improve on the last. I can say that as I have had a Roku since their first model came out. I enjoy the new headphone feature and this Roku has a heftier feel and weight than the Roku 2 XS. Looking forward to seeing their Roku 4 when available.
