I heart my Roku3

I was already quite fond of our earlier model Roku, which allowed us to stream Netflix and other channels to the TV. Roku3 is definitely an improvement, with faster download times, a great picture, and rarely if ever does it stop to re-download as the previous model did. Plus you can skip backwards if you miss something. And it takes up only about as much space as a coaster. Thumbs up!

Use it for music, to watch TV series, watch Amazon movies. Sometimes rent blockbuster with Roku.

I have two Roku 2's and have been pleased them, so I decided to upgrade to v3. It is a huge improvement. The menus are easier and more intuitive. The streaming speed is improved, it's more responsive, and has a great HD picture. I don't use any of the streaming features on my TV or BlueRay. Roku 3 is much easier and has everything I need.

I love it. I can watch what I want on my tv without having cable. There is a huge list of choices. The universal search feature is pure genius. If I have a movie on my computer, then boom flash drive! My one problem with it isn't really with the roku 3 itself but moreso with my set up. I gave my parents (not computer savvy) my old roku. However, because its still registered to me, if I add a channel its added to theirs. Not a big deal but annoying. Otherwise I tell my friends roku all the way!

We can't believe we lived without this device - it was super easy to set up, & has worked wonderfully in our house since! We bought it for HBO GO (come on Sony, add it to PS3 already!), but have found more wonderful stuff on it than we have time to watch!!

Roku 3 worth the upgrade

I upgraded from a roku hd to roku3 and I have to say its been very worthwhile. The features that I like the best are 1) how much faster it is loading video 2) the extra channels, especially the one that let me stream movies from my computer to the tv 3) the earphones. 4) the dual channel wifi reception. 5) better video quality. I was a bit dubious whether this would be worth the investment as my old roku was OK. This was much better then I thought it would be. The only thing that I was not happy about was the loss of an optical audio output. My audio amp does not have hdmi input, and so I can't output hi quality audio to my sound system. Not sure why they took that feature away, but other then that very nice device.

I cancelled my cable subscription and am now streaming all of my TV viewing through my Roku 3. I do not miss cable at all, Roku is awesome and it's saving me a ton of money. I highly recommend the Roku 3.
