About 3 months ago when I moved into my new place I decided to be an internet only house, and Roku lets me do that. It is easy to operate and creates no fuss. I'd like it if I could get a few shows that aren't available online yet, but that isn't the device's fault.

The Roku is very easy to set up and use. It has a great picture and a lot of channels to choose from. The only way I could see to improve it would be if it had YouTube. I got my first one about three years ago and upgraded to the new one and it is one of the best buys I have ever made.

I continue to have problems with the remote not working. I have to unplug our Roku3 and plug it back in to get the remote working again.

I use the Rokus as simple set-top boxes to connect all the TVs in my home to my wireless media server using Plex. That is not without its headaches, as both the Roku and Plex have trouble with so many of my HD fan-subbed anime and wonky file containers. Everyone else uses the Roku primarily for Netflix. I wish the Netflix interface was more like the web version. My Rokus all randomly forget about my WiFi network when they haven't been used for a day or so. I have to then go to settings and have them rediscover and sign in to my network. This is my major complaint.

Cons: Loses Wifi Network

Great features; not stable

I have owned 4 Roku devices over the years, and this one has the best features and is the least stable. I have it on an HDMI switch with 3 other set-top boxes. I use it at home with my family and kids. Netflix gets heavy usage as do a number of other channels. We use at least 4 channels in regular rotation. With previous boxes, a particular channel may very rarely crash or fail and dump me back to the main screen. This is solely the fault of the channel programmers, in my opinion. With THIS model, such crashes or problems happen often and lock up the entire device and I have to unplug it to reset it. I end up resetting it like this at least once a week. I'm holding on to it (I love the new features and increased resolution over my last Roku) hoping a software update will stabilize it. And I'm hoping the channel developers will also work on their channels to fix stability.

Cons: Crashes, Freezes
