Trouble with the remote control

I loved my Roku, but after just a couple of month's usage, the remote control arrows ceased to work rendering it useless!

Best One Yet

I own 4 Roku 3's. I have owned previous models and this is the best one yet. The three biggest improvements- 1) WiFI remote, not IR or RF. You could be in another room and still control it. 2) More attractive design. 3) Quicker response to remote commands. Virtually no lag when you push a button to action on the TV. Also, the iPhone Roku app is very good and the best way to enter search terms.
Pros: Small, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Attractive Design

Sold it on Amazon-Issues with Audio

Roku told me that 5.1 surround did not work with Vudu and that there was an issue that they were working on...never fixed so I returned
Pros: Fast Setup
Cons: No 51 Vudu-issue

Best yet of the last three

This is my 3rd Roku box and it is by far the best - in quality and ease of use. I have gotten a number of my friends to buy Roku and all have thanked me for the recommendation. I also have an Apple TV so I can stream my music and ripped movies but I use Roku for everything else. Do your yourself and buy one today.

I like watching my Netflix or Amazon movies on my TV instead of just my iPad. Pandora was an addition I hadn't expected. Music customized to my taste is so relaxing and enjoyable. I was excited that I could get some PBS videos, except ... the reception is mind numbingly slow, with frequent pauses for downloads. That must be the problem with PBS and not Roku because movies come in fine, if not in the best definition I have satellite Internet which is not the fastest reception out there.

Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Big Performance from a Small Thing

Along with all the benefits of connecting our older 50" flatscreen Plasma TV to Internet apps, for the first time we can view some old photos stored on our computers in large-format 1070p high resolution, through an app called 'Playon'. This alone was worth more than the very affordable Roku. Simple and functional, small and easy to set up too.

Cons: Runs Hot, May Need Re-starting
