Being retired, unable to work, living in an area where there is no local TV or cable available, and satellite TV out of my budget, I thought I was happy with Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu Plus on my computer. I have a great internet speed. But it sort of tied up my computer. Bought a $160 23" 1080p monitor and a Roku 3 and now I got an awesome selection of shows and my computer back! And Roku's menu is so easy to use! I love this machine! Roku's USB channel allows me to view YouTube videos downloaded on my smartphone on a big screen. Awesome!

"The remote is a concern"

I use the Roku everyday. I have 3 Roku players. Trouble with the remote when using headphones or the buds is very annoying. I am currently replacing it for the 2nd time. Very glad I have the extended warranty. I cannot recommend it due to the failing remote. My other 2 devices work like a champ and one of them is very old.

Utterly Amazing Experience

All it took was opening the box, plugging the power and the connection to my TV and a couple of minutes to get it onto our WiFi system. It worked flawlessly from the moment it powered up. The addition of all of the various new sources has seriously enhanced our entertainment experience.

I bought it to replace a CPU that we were using to watch Netflicks and Amazon movies. It is much faster and there is virtually no buffering. The computer used to freeze and go into "buffering" constantly. It was a snap to setup and is easy to operate. I thought the search mode would be a hassle without a keyboad. however, type in a few letters of the movie title, actor, etc. and a list is produced. I am so much happier with this setup. My smart TV in the bedroom does not have the app for Amazon. I wish I would have bought a regular TV and a ROKU for it as well!
