Works even better than Roku2

I have been using Roku2 for more than 2 years, mostly to stream the Netflix and Amazon movies. Lately, I started seeing freezes in the middle of the streaming. Thinking that the updates to the Roku software must be running across a memory or processor limit of Roku2, I decided to upgrade. Lo and behold, the problem is gone with Roku3. I found Roku2 and Roku3 very easy to install and start using. I have connected Roku3 to a audio/video receiver. A DirectTV box is also connected to the receiver. This way I can easily switch between Roku and DirectTV. Also, for this reason, I have not had a chance to use the new Roku3 remote earphone, since I use a Bluetooth transmitter to transmit the signal from the receiver.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video

Great Entertainment Delivery System

This little device has been a welcome addition to our entertainment setup, this summer. As a Netflix and Amazon Prime member, the Roku 3 has performed flawlessly. My wife and I are catching up on many, many BBC shows and I've particularly enjoyed the foreign language selections. The remote, with the earphone plug, is fantastic. The use of RF instead of line of sight infrared, is pure genius. Kudos to the designers for this handy and well thought out remote. I wish there was an on/off switch, as the constant ON causes me to have to manually select a device with my "automatic" hdmi switch when I choose to use the DVR. The Flickr implementation is impressive. Just can't say enough about how much we are enjoying owing this Roku 3.

I don't understand what all the buttons

We need to know what all the buttons are for???? Why do sometimes the lights on the control flash?? A small instruction booklet would help.

Headphone feature best by far

Headphone support in remote control (1/8" stereo jack) is a great new feature. Audio quality is good and synchronization with the video is spot on. Included headphones are decent and sport the purple Roku color. Television audio is conveniently turned off upon inserting headphones into the remote headphone jack. To restore full room audio simply unplug the headphones. Roku 3 remote uses new Wi-fi protocol instead of Roku 2 Bluetooth allegedly to save on power.
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Offline Power Usage

ROKU changed my life...

I had heard so much about Netflix "House of Cards" and don't have smart Tvs. I got ROKU and the entire Internet streaming world came to life. I can take my ROKU upstairs and to my downstairs TVS easily. ROKU just opened up a whole different world for me!

Better than Apple TV

First of all, this blows the Apple TV out of the water. With so much more content and the ability to play games and well as video and audio. I am an avid Plex user, and the native Plex channel allows me to watch my content from my Television. Unlike the Apple TV where I would have to hack/jailbreak the device to be able to get Plex.
Pros: Attractive Design, Kid Friendly, Fast Setup, Headphones On Control, Great Price, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, So much content
Cons: No Hdmi Included
