I live in an area that has slow DSL service, especially at peak times like in the evening when I want to stream video. The ROKU should have a buffer that I could fill ahead of time so I could enjoy an uninterrupted viewing experience.

Better than expected!

The Roku 3 is even better than I expected. I was unsure at first, as I had to hook it up using my wireless internet instead of a direct connect to the router. It works flawlessly.
I am impressed with the streaming quality and I will be getting another one for the other TV.

Better for a while

We were pleased with the performance of our Roku 3 particularly because our previous Roku device had started to seem to loose its steam. However, in the last month, which was only 6 months after purchase, the remote started to have serious issues and despite changing batteries multiple times it still isn't working consistently so we have had to download the roku remote app on our phones and those are working okay but we would very much prefer to use the remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our 2nd Roku. We gave oour 1st one to my son. We've had this one for almost a year. We're very pleased with it as we were with the Roku original that we had.

good reliable media streaming

Bought this to replace a roku-2 which was randomly crashing rebooting. Much better, it runs reliably and doesn't have any problems. Great for watching netflix, amazon, or whatever.

My Roku 3 is junk

I brought Roku 3 as an upgrade from my original Roku. The remote is Junk, it eats batteries. I am now using my old Roku

already broken

after less than a month of use, my husband had to unplug the roku to switch plugs and the slight toggling made a piece come loose inside the machine and no longer works. defective? cheap? unsure, but now there is no roku and quite frankly I have no interest in paying for a second one to break in another month.
