Nice product, hoping for more channels

For channels like Netflix and TED it works great. For this to compete with cable and satellite more real channels are needed.

Upgrading to Roku 3 and one happy camper

We upgraded to Roku 3 for NetFlix's subtitles option. The original Roku did not have subtitles option for NetFlix. Plus the headphones feature in Roku3 is pretty awesome.

I use Roku 3 to watch Netflix and HuluPlus. Some other free movie channels are good. I have no complaints about Roku 3 itself. The complaints are with some of the channels available through Roku 3 - limited titles, etc. The headphone jack is amazingly worth it. I study while my wife watches TV in silence. Roku 3 is fast and reliable and it does the things that are within its designers' power beautifully. If only it could stream individual cable channels (even for an a la carte), it would be the Perfect device - absolutely perfect.

I had been using and still continue to use my Roku 2 xs for over a year and needed a new box for a new tv so I got the new Roku 3. It is faster and its size is better distributed so the hdmi no longer pulls on it. I use it in our bedroom with the headphone jack on the remote and it my sound silly but it is the most amazing little feature that we couldn't live without. Only hit I give to Roku is more useful channels and more Canadian content.

Cons: Lacks Canadian Content

Haven't Missed Cable

There should be a way to see the OWN network programs. That's the only thing I miss from cable. With the addition of OWN, I would give the Roku 3 an overall 5.

I love the Roku 3 with the ear buds, however, every couple of weeks remote stops working causing me to go through the process of pairing it. I am beginning to link I received a defective remote.

There were no surprises. It performs just as the ad said it would. We have slow internet, but it still streams perfectly, although HD may not be available, but no matter, the audio and visual are still very good.
