The best in streaming media!

I set up a new entertainment center. New TV, $4k in audio, power backup etc. At the last minute I decided to add a Roku 3 to my setup and I am really glad I did. Previously I had been using my PS3 for streaming services with a harmony remote. That worked but not very well. It was clunky to use, difficult for my wife to figure out and over all annoying. The Roku on the other hand is completely flawless for streaming video. Never a buffer or software crash ever. It's on all the time which means it is always up to date and ready to go. I currently use it for Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, HBO Go and Vudu. The unified search is also pretty good all though a few times I noticed that it wasn't finding things across all services. No biggie though because everything is responsive and easy to find anyway. Much of the perception of response comes from the simple Roku remote. It works no matter where the Roku is hidden and works VERY well. The only thing that has given me even an ounce of problems is the iPhone app which sometimes crashes if I change music too fast. With that said it is still the easiest way for me to stream music to my receiver. My pioneer elite has a horrible interface and the "smart TV" is all but useless for music. All in all this device is fantastic for the price. So good that we now have one on every TV in our house!

Love the Roku. Was very easy to set up and operate. Works great for watching movies and shows off Netflix and similar sites. Am considering purchasing another unit for the bedroom tv.
