Fast and Stable

Hulu and Netflix apps built into TVs and BluRay players are sluggish and crash a lot. This thing is rock stable, extremely responsive, and has great video quality. Well on par with my 3rd Gen Apple TV, but with far more channel options. The wireless earbuds are great too.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Stable, Fast

I use my Roku for streaming movies and listening to internet radio. It is a breeze to set up and pick channels and unlike my Apple TV, never has a problem.

We use the Roku EVERY day for music streaming with Pandora (love it!) and in the evening times for Amazon Prime and Netflix - it works like a dream My kids can use it with no problems at all. Connects and STAYS connected to the wifi network all day no with no problems. Going to by 2 more for the other TVs in the house. Love it!

channels' content disappointing..all free previews and trials..a little like having somebody put an atm in your home. Worth the price to stream Netflix, hbo, pbs though

I was debating between the AppleTV and the Roku 3 when I was deciding on which to choose. I'm an Apple junkie but this was the first time I didn't choose an Apple product for this type of medium. The Roku 3 just has more features and channels. Also, being able to stream my own .mkv content using the Plex channel is great. I've used the USB port to play my media and it works flawlessly. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd Roku 3 to add to my bedroom.
Pros: Convenient, Lots of choices, Easy to setup

The Roku 3 is undoubtedly one of the better streaming devices in the market at the moment. It is a quality product that, despite occasional flaws, provides a solid user experience. I mainly use the Roku 3 for watching two channels, Crunchyroll and the Disney Kids Channel, both of which are great for the family. The Disney Kids Channel is particularly unique, as there are a ton of content you can find, for free, that isn't on your regular Disney channel on cable or directv. All in all, I would recommend the Roku 3 to anyone that is looking to stream Anime or need more content to entertain the kids.

Cons: Would Freeze On Occasion
