My 8 yr. old can use the ROKU 3 with no problem. Less work and all the entertainment you can handle.
Pros: Attractive Design, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video

We had our satellite turned off and only have an antenna and the Roku now.. saves a lot of money and Love being able to watch what I want when I want. I think it's television freedom!! LOVE IT!!!

I use the Roku very frequently for streaming movies and TV shows from Netflix in particular, and now also from Acorn, a service available to Roku users. After a series of Blu-ray players with erratic streaming quality/capability, I finally decided to purchase a dedicated streaming device. I've only ever heard really good things about Roku, and now I know why. Highly recommended.

Screw Cable & Satellite

Honestly, after my ROKU HD suddenly died I debated getting a new unit, but after researching it for a while (and suffering through Sony BluRay player streaming hell) I decided to just get the Roku 3, aka the Ferrari of streaming boxes. It's fast as all get up and Netflix, Amazon Prime Streaming and HBO Go all run great on it. TWC doesn't work, though, so there's that. What I really want is this: MIRACAST! Where is it? If the Roku 3 could do Miracast/'airplay-like' streaming that would be crazy great. That was the major reason why I almost bought an Apple TV. And it's my biggest gripe about the Roku3.
Pros: Snappy, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Pricey
