this would be perfect except for two things, the lack of the ability to go right to the next episode in your series and it needs an easier way to show what is really free to use or is needed to buy.it takes a lot of time to find out what you can use for free.love the ear bud connection on the remote

For those of us who connect directly to a high def TV through HDMI but also to a separate 5.1 or 7.1 audio system, a separate digital audio output would be nice. You had one on the original ROKU 1 but it has disappeared as you have "improved" things.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Limited Digital Audio Out

Can't "play to roku" with roku 3??

I like streaming windows media center recorded tv from plex app. Fast little machine great for browsing shows and channels. Streams very well. Headphones from remote a nice feature. Frustrating that I bought the most expensive one and can't "play to roku" with iOS app. But I can click "upgrade" button to buy a different roku. Odd.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Plex Stream W7 Recordedtv
Cons: Can't "play To" With Ios

This is good and I bought another one for my family friend. With Chromecast selling for $35, Roku should start catching up. If all it takes is to develop an app in Roku where Youtube and Chrome or IE streamings in the TV, they should start developing that right away. IPhone remote app is perfect and is very handy. I am satisfied overall with the product. I am hoping Roku can catch up with Chromecast asap.

I gave up cable because it was too expensive and this was a gift to me. At first, I was against it, but I like the convenience of being able to stream movies and even television. I like having to be "proactive" with my television, instead of just turning it on and letting the incessant talking take over my living room.

Excellent Upgrade from the Roku2!

I used the Roku 2 for about a year and was very happy with all the features it had to offer. The Roku 3 just takes those features and adds a faster processor and a headphone jack to the remote. Menu/show browsing is much faster and smoother, and the headphone jack is a nice feature and audio quality is quite good. For media viewing I use Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Plex. Plex is a media server application you run on your computer to play videos/pictures/music on your TV. The Roku 3 a great solution for cordcutters or people looking to "smartify" their TV. And it's actually better than most Smart TVs out there since the Roku has better support, more channels, and a huge user community.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls
Cons: Audio Only Via Hdmi

I love this product. This is my second one and I just ordered another for our guest room. My husband controls the remote in the evening so the Roku is fabulous for allowing me access to all of the programs I want to watch with no commercials in the daytime at my convenience! I have my TreadClimber set up in front of our TV and I can watch with my earbuds in and before you know it I'm done with my workout! I love my Roku!

My ROKU 3 vs ROKU HD

I love the device - but - the remote occassionally looses communications with the device. Must use the ROKU HD remote until ROKU 3 remote regains functionality
