Huge leap in performance

Huge improvement in loading speed on Netflix, and really like the subtitle option. Love the new interface with channels. Not so happy with the new remote, though. Old remote had the enter button in the center of the up-down-left-right arrow cluster, making spelling out titles very fast. I find the new off-center enter button awkward to use. Also, the new rounded back makes the remote harder to stack with the other six remotes on my small table.
Pros: Subtitles option, Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Remote needs improvement

i have both roku 3 and 2x. i enjoy and use both to watch movies. i use the wireless interface on both. ordinarily i have few or no problems. occasionally, i have to unplug the unit to resolve connectivity issues; reset will not resolve.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Fast loading, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Have To Unplug At Times, Reset Button Hard To Find, Needs Periodic Resetting, Reset Doesn't Work

So easy to setup and to use. It's great to watch an entire season(s) of a show at your convienence. It resumes where you left off if you have to stop in the middle of a show or movie. Large selections but mostly older movies and tv shows on Netflix and the free channels are also older movies and tv shows. So much cheaper than cable and no commercials.

I'm really glad that I went the non-smart TV / Blu-ray player and simply got a Roku 3. I saved money on the TV and having the Roku means I can essentially take it anywhere if there's internet and a TV. I've only reset it one time since I had it and I'm pretty sure that was due to a power outage. The clock screensaver even comes in handy!

Nice little player

The Roku 3 is a big improvement over the Roku 2, and the use of dual-band reception greatly improves the image quality. I upgraded my wireless router to a dual-band and am using a signal amplifier so the drop-outs and fuzziness are things of the past. The picture and sound quality are excellent, and I especially like being able to plug my headphones into the remote.
