Adding Channels

I like the picture quality and sound quality. With higher speed broadband things flow nicely. I have been frustrated with PIN process. I added a PIN, but then when I tried to use it, it came up as invalid. I then decided to not use a PIN, so I updated the account. Again, I got the invalid comment. Also, I added channels online and they do not come up on the TV, but on the webiste they are considered as "installed."
Pros: Simple Controls
Cons: Addding Channels, Difficult setup

I love the feature of being able to use the headset from the remote. The use of an iphone as a remote is also an added feature. We upgraded to this after our SX didnʻt work so well (the SX is now discontinued). We are very happy with the Roku3 so far!

I actually own a Roku XS, but with the new Roku3 facelift. The interface is a little slower with the new menu system but I'm guessing the Roku3 is a little faster? Roku will not replace cable TV yet, but it's close. Great value and lots of channels for all interests.
Pros: Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup
Cons: Requires Fast Internet, Needs more LIVE channels

When streaming music the audio rises and falls on its own.
Pros: Simple Controls, Video Is Very Good, Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Does Not Improve Audio/Video, Poor Music Streaming

We use it mostly for NetFlix as most of the other stuff is pretty basic/marginal. Even Netflix is rather behind the times at least in Canada. Beats hooking up the computer to watch NF.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Pretty Much Idiot Proof
Cons: Content Iss Outside Us, A Challenge Outside Us

Very Happy with New Model

I use my Roku to access mainly Hulu and Netflix. While I very much liked my Roku HD, the Roku 3 is far more responsive. The channels load much more quickly and the programs are almost instantaneous. I don't find the new remote to be a major improvement. I doubt I will use the earphones. It is still tedious to enter text for searches or when a new channel wants my email address.
Pros: Channels Load Quickly, Attractive Design, Fast startup
Cons: Remote Still Cumbersome

Small package - Big features

We have a remote mountain cabin but fortunately the phone company has just added DSL, which enables us to stream some entertainment. ROKU provides a convenient way to access various online entertainment outlets that we would not otherwise have. We liked it so much, we bought a second one for our city home. The technical support is very good also.
