I've Already Canceled Comcast

I was given a Roku 3 a week ago and truly could not be happier! It has all of the content I would ever need and a fast revamped interface. Within a week of setting up the box I have canceled my high end cable subscription. I plan on buying a HD antenna in order to receive the network channels and between Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Roku allows me to stream everything else I'd ever need. Plus I can't wait for baseball season to start so I can watch my favorite out-of-state team play on MLBTV. Thanks Roku, I've been waiting years to stop paying $100's for cable!
Pros: Great value, High quality picture, Easy to use, Compact, Reliability, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi

Aside from watching movies or tv shows, I love playing music on my Roku 3. Pandora and Spotify are fantastic and the new headset attachment on the remote is phenomenal. I can even walk into another room and the remote still functions. It's like having Satellite Radio. There are so many choices for music, movies and tv shows. It is really amazing that I can take this on trips as long as I have a high speed internet connection and HD tv. 1080p is awesome. I need to figure out how to use itunes on it.

First device. set up right away and I got caught up on some netflix. Tomorrow I will try other channels but so far so good. Much easier navigation than buddies apple tv.

I use the product to enhance my TV watching on my main TV . The Canadian TV in my area is quite boring. The Roku has added that extra bit of programming variety that makes the overall TV watching enjoyable. In fact I am looking forward to buying another one for the bedroom TV, they are that good. I would however like to see more US programming, if we cannot get some of the US programmes which are certainly better than Canadian than give more good Canadian programming.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video

I choose this device based on an on-line review. Previously I was using my blue-ray player to stream video. The Roku is definitely faster, and I think the video quality is a bit better. Of course it's much smaller. I was using an IR repeater to control my blue-ray player (because it was in another room), and now I don't need it because the Roku remote works through the wall. The downside of the remote is that I have to use it at all. I can't program my dish network remote to control the Roku like I was able to with my IR based blue-ray player. I can never just get down to a single remote. Finally, my beef with the Roku is the fact that when I tried to activate it on-line, I was forced to enter my credit card information. They said this was necessary for future purchases. Really? I was not happy. I ended up calling them, and the person on the phone was happy to create an account for me without requiring my credit card information. If I can do it on the phone, why can't I do it on-line? I hope they change this policy soon. Overall, I'm happy with my Roku 3.

Good streaming device

Once I got used to the remote, this worked well. It gave easy access to a wide variety of good quality movies and former TV shows. The no-keyboard search feature can be a little awkward, but the search works effectively, and the remote is certainly not cumbersome. The biggest drawback is that, so far, there is no easy way that I have found to access YouTube videos with the Roku.
Pros: Small Footpring, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Can't Easily Get Youtube

I will use it extensively for 1 or 2 months and if I like it, I plan to cut the cable TV. In the short time I've had it, I enjoy it but wish it had Canadian News Channels to offer and more weekly series, ie "The Mentalist"
