Easy to set up and get started

We've had the roku3 for a few months now, and it's a good alternative to cable.
It was easy to set up initially although instructions are as sparse as the remote buttons. The remote is quite basic, but functional. Earphone jack in the remote was a great idea. Roku comes with a USB port, but nobody seems to be able to tell me what it's for.
Content for the Roku is aplenty, but be aware: much of the low-end content is free, but the higher-end content requires a subscription (so they can spam you email "updates"), or a paid service.
The video quality through our DSL connection is poor, and not worth paying $ for movies. If your expectations for quality are modest, there is much content to be had, and the Roku makes a good alternative to cable.

Works very good as long as you use DHCP on your network. YOU can not make any changes to the setup.
EX: you have a limited supply of DHCP IPs. IT takes anything it can find and YOU have no control. Fix it so the user has some control and I will raise my rating.

Powerfully changing my use of television

With all the choices on Roku, I only need local access from my television provider. Love that I choose what to watch, can pause and return later. Started with one Roku but now have three and have helped others buy and install five more. Great product!

The roku is easy to set up and use. MHz cable Chanel was taken over by the Japanese & I couldn't,t get the international mysteries until I got roku.

Super simple to use. The private listening feature you'll use more than you realize. There's a lot of available content. Just be sure to give it some space because it will overheat if you place it on top of a hot cable box. Some of the apps are a little buggy too--all very minor issues and it's quick to exit and go back to what you were doing. Highly recommend!

I like the way it works BUT if you misplace the remote... you can not do any thing because all controls are on the the remote.
