SO USER FRIENDLY!!!!!

This has been such an amazing purchase! I was unsure at first, but it was so easy to install, and we watch all the time. I purchased one for the bedroom and one for the living room. They were both set up in just a few minutes, and we have had no problems whatsoever! What a great product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is not as good as they say

This is not as good as they say, because they say it has hundreds of TV channels, but what they do not tell you is to see most of these tv channels, your have to be subscribed to a cable television company or satellite
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku - Near Perfect

I've had the Roku 3 about 3 weeks and am very satisfied with it.
I have a Smart-TV in my bedroom and Roku attached to my older TV in the family room. Pro: 1. Turned my older TV into a semi-Smart-TV
2. The fast-forward on my Smart-TV only pauses the action so it is hard to tell when to start play again. The Roku fast-forward shows windows of the action so you know when to start play again. 3. I like the feature of being able to plug a quality pair of ear buds into the handset and listen to good audio.
Con: 1. I wish Roku had an on-off switch. I did not want to leave the Roku on when not in use. The box gets a little hot, so I installed an on-off switch box to turn it off. 2. When the ear buds are plugged in, it cuts off the speakers. My wife likes to listen on a wireless headset, which requires the speakers to be on, but turned down. I like the ear buds better. I wish there was an option to turn the speakers on-off. Better yet the ability to bluetooth the Roku to an IPAD or Cell Phone so you could then use the ear buds from those. 3. No browser as in a Smart-TV. Maybe those features will be in Roku 4???

the roku works just fine for the most part; buffering is a problem; the remote is a pain you cannot see the controls in a darkened area; purple and black were a poor choice for the remote; should be backlighted!!

Sound doesn't work with receiver bypass on netflix

I have a yamaha rv870 receiver. The receiver allows bypass that works for the PS3-Directv-macintosh,Wii but with the Roku on netflix doesn't have sound on a LOT of titles. Works if the receiver is turned on with Netflix , can't figure it out.
New movies are about the same as any other streaming services in price wish they were cheaper. Does work fairly well and we are glad we have a faster internet
