It's all good except....

We cut the cable and bought a Roku 2 and a Roku 3. They both work and we like streaming without commercials. The Roku 3 does load noticeably faster than the Roku 2 and that is important because on certain video sites like PBS the server can't handle the heavy volume of users when popular shows are aired, so there is frequent buffering. The device is good but streaming channels like PBS and Netflix still need to work out a few bugs. Very little live streaming is available, mostly videos. I miss live local news. Also wish I could use one remote instead of turning on the TV and adjusting with one, then navigating Roku with the other.

Have both cable and Roku. The Family watches cable, I watch ROKU.

Need better connectivity

Though some of the apps are giving good content, connectivity to Comcast is disappointing, even when I have subscription to the Comcast channels through their "box" ... if Roku works together with Comcast, the experience will be much preferred to Comcast or Roku separately...

Excellent Product

Does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. It installed in a snap and I was watching a movie within 5 minutes. My wife really appreciates the built-in headphone jack that allows me to hear my programs without turning up the volume to where it bothers her. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I have to have the big screen TV turned on to listen to music. If I were watching music videos that would be fine but to power up the TV to listen to music with no video doesn't make sense. The ROKU 3 had no problem getting my wi-fi signal through several walls.

Brought a whole new aspect to television in our home. With Roku we pick the channels and programs we enjoy unlike cable which serves up a bunch of channels that provide themes and subjects that are either popular or politically correct. Now I watch what I want, when I want and save a considerable amount of money. Thanks Roku.

Have had Roku for about a month and a half. It performs as advertised. Setup was fairly simple. Unit freezes from time to time requiring reset. Earbuds are pathetic. Not a great "Cable Killer" but better than nothing.
