I bought on last month and loved it so much I just bought another for another room. Easy to install and use, feature rich and lot's of channels. Hoping that they add broadcast channel capabilities and then it will be perfect!

Your instructions deal with using it as a game remote and I use it for streaming NETFLEX thus the instructions do not help in identifying how to use all the buttons in that mode. In fact I do not know how to shut off Netflex unless pull the batteries out. Using the  home button does no good
I find that if I do not take the batteries out the batteries fun down and I have to replace them

Great for movie lovers.

I'm not sure what to think at this point.  If you are a movie lover, which I am not much of one, you have such a great selection to choose from for reasonable rental rates.  My purpose in buying this was the intention of firing my cable company which is now charging me $100 a month for pretty basic service.  Roku, with subscription services, offers a fair variety of previously aired TV shows which may be of value to some viewers.  I have now subscribed to Amazon Prime for $79/yr, which offers some limited choices of past seasons of many TV shows, although many are rented for $1.99 per episode, or $18 and up per season.  That can add up quickly if you don't keep track.  I have found quite a few shows that appeal to me (I mostly go for documentaries, and detest the shoot-em-ups that most people seem to like).  I like some sit-coms, but have yet to find very much that interests me, or that I am willing to pay for.  There is a lot to scroll through that is of no interest, trying to find something good.  I have not found any means to watch current episodes of anything which makes sense from a copyright standpoint.  I also fail to find any means of watching sports (pro baseball and football), which leaves me stuck with cable.  I got rabbit ears for my TV, so that pretty well solves the problem of being able to watch local news, and some sports broadcasts.  Now, the BIG plus with Roku is that when you find something to watch, there are NO commercials.  A 1-hour episode that you may have watched last year on cable, is 43-44 minutes when watched on Roku.  After you have watched that, you can watch the next episode 2 minutes later.  Sweet!
I need to do more exploring to find out what I am missing, but so far, I am fairly happy with my purchase of a Roku 3.  If you're a movie buff, you'll be quite happy.
