It seems that we will like it as a family once we figure out how to operate all it features as of this point we are having problems with downloading pictures that we saved to CD to our ROKU player for replay for everyone to view,

The Perfect Device for Technophobes.

Roku is the perfect device for technophobes; bringing the power of online offerings and subscription services to your family's TV(s) hassle free. It's only flaw is it doesn't carry Youtube. The day it does, will be the day Roku transforms from simply being the best, and instead, becomes the undeniable choice for all discerning consumers.

A very intuitive and easy to use/install system

We have used Hulu Plus (streamed from our laptop) for a while and I would give Roku 5-stars, but some of the Hulu programs aren't licensed with Roku, so it's a pain to shift systems to watch what Roku carries and what they don't. Overall, Roku is a simple, robust, and easy to use system. One other minor fault, sometimes, on particular shows, Roku locks up on a particular episode, but will play the same episode an hour later... Weird.

I bought the Roku 3 as an alternative to cable TV in my bedroom. I love all the options and channels, it's very easy to use, wireless works great. All the channel logins can get tedious though, and there are way too many pay channels, but overall I'm very happy with it.

Missing Features-Setup for Dummies is Dead Easy.

While this model does You Tube it does not have a browser. It should have Chrome. It is feature complete as a consumer appliance but no where as good as XBMC of which it is a fork. It is not annoying but they should have used a flymouse like LG TV's. It does not power off the mobile HDMI port. Of the LG TV (2013) and the Roku they have the same features the mouse is better on the TV and the TV has chrome. The Roku has a more odd mix of internet "channels" like Jupiter networks. The biggest complaint is that no one will support the Roku's HBOGO especially Comcast/Xfinity and Netflix cannot buy Game of Thrones. The WiFi receiver is impressive on the Roku and speaks to some attention to antenna design.
