Like Roku but love Apple TV. However I returned mine and purchased an Apple TV device.

Great apps

We switched from satellite to Roku a month ago and haven't missed satellite at all. There are tons of great apps and great kids programs. We highly recommend the Roku.

This was my replaceent for cable. I have a hulu account for all my current tv show viewing and a Netflix account for everything else. The roku is perfect in assisting my needs to get these apps onto my television (as I do not have a smart TV that can contain all these apps in of itself). I have not really searched through all the apps that the roku has to offer, but it seems as though there is a lot of content on it. Now whether all that available content is free is another question that I have yet to answer for myself. I continually run into paid programming, but I am trying to get away from all the paying!!! So this rates pretty mediocre for me as it stands without having to pay for all the content that it offers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just purchased Roku 2 for our bedroom before installing Roku 3 for living room. I called the 800 number to help. With the preliminary trial...I think I will really enjoy the new system.

Get streaming video from internet to your TV

Pros: Easy to navigate or modify the menus. Time Warner & HBO Go allows me to watch my pay TV channels via WiFi. Got a version of Roku 3 that came WITH HDMI cable from Sam's Club. Cons: Have home entertainment center(s), don't need ridiculous games. Do not use nor need headphones on a remote control. Out $21 for 16Gig microSD that Roku 3 was unable to recognize, although PC had no problems with it. ONLY HDMI connection on this model, cannot hook to older TVs. NO YouTube??????

Got this product a month a go and couldn't be happier i did. Excellent quality and value for money. What i love the most is the remote and the fact that i plug in my headphones for a personalised viewing experience.
