Great cable tv replacement

We bought it month ago and cut our direct tv, we're very happy with that decision. We always have something to watch and we can pick content and time. Lot of shows available on tv can be accessed on Roku. So far we only have Amazon Prime subscription, so our bill reduce 10x a month. I also really like the feature with headphones.
Would like to see more live news and sport channels.

I purchased a Roku 3 based on good reviews for both the unit and the Roku Android app. I recently signed up with Hulu Plus. At first I used a PS3 to watch Hulu Plus but disliked the text entry method on the PS3. So I looked into a Roku. Roku's app is supposed to allow you to use the keyboard on an Android device to enter text. Except it doesn't work with Hulu Plus on Roku - you have to use the arrow & select buttons to enter text. It's no better than the PS3 or Roku remote when it comes to text entry for Hulu Plus.
But the real bummer was finding out that I could not watch content from the Roku if I routed its HDMI output through a HDMI switch. My TV is older and does not have many HDMI inputs so I need to use an HDMI switch to select which video source to route to the TV. The HDMI switch actually works since I can see the Roku menus and select what to watch. But as sonn as the content starts playing, the screen turns into a purple background with a message that content has been disabled. My other devices work fine so it's definitely the Roku.
The Roku has been a huge disappointment for me. I'm selling it on eBay in case someone wants this junk.

Easy, simple but few video format compatibility...

It was my fault not reading the entire specs... I decided to buy just for the new features related to the remote control, assuming this was a plus compared to WD TV. Everything is OK except for not reading most popular video formats. I hope they develop a new firmware soon or I will not use it.

The more I use it, the more I love it! I have three Roku's in the house now. 2-Roku 3's and one Roku 2XS. Using them in combo with Plex and its CBS/NBC/ABC apps, Netflix, and USTV I was able to cut the cable at last and save $130/month! ROKU ROCKS

Great Features !

Purchased this product and I was able to go "off the radar" and dump the dish ! Satellite TV and Cable are getting too expensive and these companies charge $100 or more just to watch TV that I can watch for free with ROKU. I purchased ROKU 3 because of the great features. I can plug a set of headphones right into the remote control and listen to TV all night long while my partner sleeps right next to me. It is great for folks who work different hours.

I have to say I loved it so much I bought a second one for the bedroom! I have cut the cable cord & I'm saving over $200.00 a month by doing so!

I expected lot more from Roku, especially when these are easily possible. Not sure why these are not already there:
* You Tube, Browser and Streaming anything from your phone or other devices
* 95% of the free channels are sketchy or ones anyone would rarely watch
* Free channels (there should not be need of any other box or antenna to play free channels)

One thing that is definitely excellent is the remote with built-in headphone jack and volume control button.
