Beware of audio limitations

I bought this specifically for use with VuDu. Unfortunately, your receiver must have the newer Dolby Digital +. If you only have Dolby Digital (non +) your only audio option is stereo. It's pretty unbelievable the Roku cannot transcode to DD audio. So, bottom line, I wasted my money.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design
Cons: Audio Limitations W Vudu

I liked the idea of somewhere i could more easily stream shows and movies, but I was instantly disappointed when i found out that most of the "thousands" of channels were foreign tv. The only real channels I found that were of any interest were netflix, hulu (which coincidentally I dont like, the free version has more shows on it) and MLB.tv. Every other channel was from another country or a medeoker version of netflix. Any gaming console can do everything roku can do and more. Any channels I was looking for I can already get on the console I have. I got this thinking therenwould be channels i could get here that i couldnt get elsewhere.
Pros: Fast Setup
Cons: Few Desireable Channels

It's stupid that this doesn't support YouTube or hbo go from starlight. What a waste of money

Internet access without the view

Should not have to pay for subscriptions to view tv show/movie websites.

We have a satellite system for television and computer. The t.v. was set up for one room. Since then, we added another t.v. Into another room. We bought the Roku 3 for the new t.v. And have really enjoyed all of the different uses. Plus the option of using the earplugs is great!!!

I purchased 2 Roku 3's about a month apart. Setting up the first was an exercise in frustration. I could not get it to connect by wireless no matter what I did. I could not get it to connect by ethernet until I spent hours on Google to discover the "Secret Codes" to do a system update, after which it connected (but by ethernet only). Connecting the 2nd Roku I ran into the same problem, but at least knew what to do. THIS SHOULD NOT BE NECESSARY! Once set up, Netflix and Hulu etc. work well. Inputting usernames and passwords via the remote is cludgy and time-consuming. There must be a better way. And the whole WIFI connection issue is a problem.
Cons: Difficult setup, Poor Design

This is my third roku having always upgraded. Find the new unit works but crashes, loses network always, remote stopped working completely. No youtube!! Like new interface.
