Not Worth the Money

Roku provides lousy channels, anything free isn't worth adding to your list and anything you have to pay for costs too much. Whenever I watch a show on Netflix I have to restart Netflix to move on to the next episode because Roku freezes. I would have bought a cheaper model of the Roku if I knew what I was actually getting.
Cons: Lousy Channels, Netflix Does Not Work
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have stopped cable TV service and am not missing it at all. The Roku allows fast streaming and the quality of audio and video is great. It is easy to pause and reverse to replay and best of all NO commercials. It is saving me a lot of money.

I'm impressed! Roku delivers. I use it mostly for streaming movies and checking sites like NPR. Simple to set-up and a breeze to operate. I only wish I had gotten one sooner.

Roku = Movies and TV Fun Again!

People having been telling me for years to get a Roku, but it wasn't until I got Amazon Prime and wanted a way to watch the videos on my HD TV, that I took the plunge. Using the Roku to watch movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime is so EASY, the pictures is GREAT, and I'm getting way more out of my subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon. I've fallen in love with shows I never would have watched and I no longer feel the pressure of cable to watch it now or forget about it. When I tell people how happy I am and what I can do they assume the Roku is expensive - when I tell them I spent around $100 and I set it up myself - they want to know where they can buy one. Thank you Roku, you've made movies and tv fun again!
