poor connections

I am not that impressed with the product. I purchased this to replace comcast cable, but feel  dissapointed products connectivity. If I cannot get it on, then what's the use of having it :-(

I bought this barely a month a go and I have no idea what it's sitting in my house for. It completely useless, to be honest. No free channel as it was claimed. Don't buy it, simple.

Discouraging!

I expected the player to allow me internet browsing using mi TV screen. It does not have that.
Besides, the remote control and method to introduce data is tremendously discouraging. I have not try the movile app to us it as a remote. There are better devices for just a few dollars more.

I bought this three months ago and have only turned it on twice. I find it to be quite redundant. My Panasonic TV has most of the same apps already built in. All of the regular apps that I use, Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora are on the TV. I found nothing of value to me, personally and I would recommend this product with the caveat that one make sure it is needed.
That doesn't mean that it isn't a good device if you don't already have the same apps available. It connected quickly and easily with no surprises. and it worked right the first time.

Pretty intuative.

I bought the RI am running the Roku through a HDMI switch box. Because I do not have a pre-pro for HDMI, I have to set my projector for 720p when I switch (everything else is 1080p). You can see the lower resolution when it first come up, but after a few minutes the picture looks OK.
The Operating System is fine. It detect my recent choices and let me return watching where I left off. The remote is minimal, but the connectivity is great. Definately works for me and I think it would satisfy anyone who knows that this is whate he or she wants.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku is good for users who don't want to have to think about or manage anything. Roku controls all of your subscriptions and builds their own commercials on top of the existing infrastructure. You can not go outside of the environment they have constructed.

Nice in theory, but....

We received our Roku3 as a Christmas present.  I really like the earphones in the remote. However, we constantly have problems with the signal pausing to load during the programs. Also, many channels are off the air during the times that we want to watch, with some even going offline in the middle of a program. The lack of a program guide/schedule means that I sometimes spend 30-40 minutes trying to find a show that is working that we actually want to watch. Many times I just switch it back to broadcast tv because I am so frustrated with the hassle. This really needs some attention, if this is ever going to be a serious competitor to cable.
