Dont waste your money on this device

If you have a big screen tv as I do, you would expect this unit to give you a great experience. It does not. I purchased this unit so that I could use the DLNA sevices on the Plex channel. 1.the quality is not there. 2. The tv will not auto adjust the screen so you wind up with plack bars on the left and right when you watch something in 480i. The product looks likes junk compared to a Panasonic Blu screen player with Internet support. Very disappointed.

No audio output jacks for sound through my stereo

I was hoping to replace my older Roku with a Roku 3 but that isn't going to happen since I want to listen through my audio system. They need 2 versions of the Roku 3; the current model and another with audio output jacks priced a little higher.

Do your homework before purchasing and make sure your current cable provider supports this product. While I had not problems or complaints with the product itself, the fact it was not compatible with DirecTV presents a problem.

Sloooooow. You have to provide credit card to use it - even if you don't plan on buying any pay programs.
Worst of all - YOU HAVE NO SOUND out from the player. That means it works if you use it with a stand alone TV with built in speakers, but narrows down the compatibility to very few Home Theater Systems - Yes you can buy a HDMI Splitter, but let's not accelerate the silliness...

I would not have purchased this unit had I been told I would have to pay an additional approx. $15 per month internet speed. I could not give accurate description of my problem and therefore could not get adequate support until all of my warranties had expired. Yes I am unhappy, I now have a Roku box I am forced to spend an additional $15 per month or just let it sit.
Cons: Difficult setup

It would totally solve my problem of getting rid of my cable if only I could live stream MSNBC and CNN through Roku. Add that feature and I would give it five stars. Roku is great but very similar to the apps that PlayStation 3 offers.
