No Youtube is a dealbreaker

I returned my unit. It appears that channels are not being actively developed. Netflix still had the old interface with no ability to choose who is watching. Lack of Youtube is a dealbreaker. I find that my PS3 can do more and have gone back to using it as a media center.

No YouTube available

I bought this with the hopes of being able to watch youtube videos on my big screen tv and I could not believe that Roku banned the Youtube app. All the other junk on Roku is worthless stuff you have to pay for so it was of no interest to me. I returned it to the store for a refund.

Couple things lacking

I really like my Roku and we are trying this as a replacement to cable TV. My only issues are that there are no controls built in for families within the channels and there is not an app for Windows Phone. I understand that you can "Only add family channels", but my wife and I may want to watch an action movie that is rated R and I do not want our children to watch them. I was able to set up and use the Parental Controls with my cable providers box and allow a code to be entered when a TV Show or Movie was rated above what I specified. Roku is lacking this and the channels that Roku allows you to add is lacking this as well. It is a great product but lacks the controls I liked with standard TV and the show rating codes. I understand that the channel may be responsible to provide these controls but Roku needs to take responsibility if they are selling a product to provide access to the content too. And for the Windows Phone app, please make one. Not everybody is a consumer robot and only buys Android or Apple. Many of us prefer something better.

Good features. Disappointing reliability

I enjoy the features of the Roku. However, about 1/3 of the time I have to readjust the HDMI cable to be able to get the picture to show. After searching the internet, this problem is more common than not. Also, lacking the ability to cast from a device to the screen easily seems like a major oversight with the Chromecast so cheap. Overall, it's nice, but I think you could do better.
