Works well, BUT...

I bought the Roku 3 about a month ago. So far it has worked well. I did not like having to use a CREDIT CARD to activate the device. In a world where NOTHING can secure my account number, the liability will remain constant. Anything can be hacked. Had I known, I would have bought a device without the requirement.

Not many channels and most require payment

I was getting a Roku to avoid having to pay higher cable bills, while it does save some it still requires a lot of additional pay channels. First have to pay cable $50, $8 for Hulu, $10 for Netflix and then I'm still limited on channels and shows. For the equivalent cable I would be paying $75 around the same as the Roku. I wish it had a keyboard too, as I can't get the phone app to work. Overall somewhat satisfied...

The Roku seems to work fine..no major issues. Only negative thing that happened was the included batteries for the remote died after a couple of weeks...when they die the remote speaker jack stops working and sound comes from the TV again...other functions seemed to work -- only the speaker jack stopped.
The speaker jack is a great invention and it would have been helpful for this little idiosyncrasy to have been mentioned prominently in the verbiage. Set up was super simple and was able to watch beginning immediately. This was a great birthday present!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this player and returned to store after 3 days. Buffered constantly and I didn't like content available. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I brought it a couple months ago . I returned it the next day. U have to pay for everything on there . U are better off keeping your cable TV . I really thought it sucked

Good device, no support for Asia Channel

Roku used to support lot of asian channels earlier. Now it only supports expensive dish. To watch Indian programs, please check for other options. Roku ties up with Dish for Indian Channels. It might do the same for other country viewers soon.
Pros: Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup, Simple Controls
Cons: Onlydish For Asia Progs
