FAST BUT TAKES OVER WIFI NETWORK

I BOUGHT ROKU3 IN OCTOBER 2013 IT IS FAST AND HAS GOOD CHANNELS BUT TAKES OVER IP ADDRESS AND SLOWS DOWN ALL MY GADGETS ON THE WIFI NETWORK TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE

I bought this about a month ago.  We had dropped our satelite company about 8 months ago and was just watching Netflix.  We wanted more of a selection so we bought the ROKU 3.  I was thrilled to have more options in what to watch, especially when it comes to family friendly movies.  BUT, when we try to watch family friendly movies, the movies are interrupted with commercials.  The same commercial plays 4 times in a row approximately every 10 minutes.  No where did anything say, I would deal with commercials while watching a movie.  We were also interested in being able to watch Disney Channel, unfortunately you get to watch Disney clips instead.  We do have one channel that we watch through the ROKU on a regular basis, but we still find ourselves watching Netflix 90% of the time.  Which I could have done without the ROKU.  Roku needs to put on the channels which ones show commercials and which ones do not.  
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lackluster media player

Tried it out for about 2 weeks then returned it. While the number of streaming options are abundant, none of them are really worth watching except 3-4 and these are generally available on almost every streaming device out there. The inability to handle certain media files playing local content is the final nail in the coffin.

Gets you hooked, then malfunctions often

We got our Roku about a month ago, and loved it at first.  Then, the audio problems started in on all the channels - a weird garbled audio along with a perfect picture.  VERY frustrating.  So, to technical support - the WORST I have ever experienced.  I went online to see others with the same problem, who unplugged the Roku and re-started it and this has been working so far.  But, what a hassle!!  I give your product a 5:10 at this point.  Sorry.

I read about this product and decided to buy it. It never worked well. Don't waste your money. Save up and get a smart TV instead.

Too many menus without enough directions.

How do I get on the internet?  I have wi-fi and get all the other sites for movies, so what is the trick.  This is a major point in my use and the major reason that I bought the unit.

Can't watch youtube. That is why I purchased the product. I'll keep it hoping in the near future they will allow viewing of youtube.
