Make any TV a smartTV

I have an old Roku that I have loved for years. I purchased a new Roku stick just a couple months ago. I have had problems maintaining the connection with the remote. Maybe because it is in the guest bedroom and not used often enough. Picture and sound quality is excellent and very easy to get around. I would recommend the product and service.

Excellent Technology

When Direct TV decided to raise their prices we discovered Roku and Netflix.
What a difference. Love them very much. Works great with our wireless internet capability and provider. We did purchase a Smart TV, but in reality, the Roku 3 is the best way to go if you do not want to invest in a Smart TV at this time!

Improved GUI!

I can't speak regarding any improvement in streaming as my Roku2 perform the same and hardly ever pixelate or pause during streaming. What has drastically improved is the User Interface. The clarity is perfect on an HDTV and navigation is a snap. Well worth the upgrade for the Man Cave and the Roku2 gets demoted to the Family Room.

Too many conflicts with old router and modem

I bought my Roku3 last year and could not make a connection to anything. After getting rid of the old router and modem from TW I remembered the Roku. I hooked the Roku up and was connected immediately and have enjoyed all the things I'm able to receive now.

When I bought a Roku two years ago I was looking for a streamer that will run Plex to play my family videos and music collection as well as Netflix. Well I got more than that -- Roku has almost everything! Roku can do anything! It has so many channels it will blow your mind away. It has everything I need Plex, Hulu Plus, Netflix, Google TV, Amazon Instant Videos and also a Roku media player channel that can now access my WDTV mybook DLNA server. The M-Go service is also great! I can buy movies that are still in the theater or even before they are released. Why bother with the crowds when you can enjoy premium movies from home? To date, I bought 5 Roku 3s for all my HDTVs at home and I gifted at least 3 to friends and they all loved it. It would be nice to embed Roku in high end TVs like Sony and LGs/Samsung. Linking the devices are so easy too... I can't wait for the next Roku 4... maybe voice search? Roku is the best out there - PERIOD!

Love my roku

My Roku was Christmas gift - I've always been a TV person so the husband thought I'd like it. I love Netflix, when I'm home on the weekends or sick it's great way to watch things I haven't seen with all their movies. TV shows that I didn't see all of and are now off the air I am able to go back to. Only thing I will say is that showing a TV show that only lasted one season may give them money on it but really who wants to watch a show they know is not going to last, it's like reading a book and stopping before the ending.
