Worth it

I cut the cord with U-verse and was very nervous but Roku helped. Now I feel like I have choices vs. being subject to live tv. I would highly recommend even if you just want to try out on one tv.

I bought this product because I read a lot of nice reviews and they are right. This product is awesome for streaming and its fast. Maybe someday put on and off power.

Fantastic Television Choices

I love being able to choose channels that I want to watch and delete others that don't in any way appeal to me. Plus the Movie On Demand through various vendors provides an up-to-date line up of new movies that are easy to find. This is my second ROKU and I may purchase a third as a gift.

a lot of "channels" to add

I got it as a gift for Christmas. I was blah when I opened it. 4 days later I finally decided to test it out. I have Amazon Prime, HBO GO, Showtime, and Netflix accounts. I never bothered with any of these to watch shows, because I refuse to watch them on tablets or my computers. This turned my TV which connects to the internet only wired, into a smart TV with a lot more selection than most. I have told my friends to get rid of their extra cable boxes and just put these in the bedrooms; it surely will save on cable bills. My only problem is I need to stop watching all of the shows!! The streaming on it is pretty on point with your internet speed. I had the original Roku and I must say it came a long way to greatness lol

This Roku player has basically anything all of the other Smart players have. Hulu, Netflix, HBO Go is available in nearly every platform. There are endless numbers of what I call useless channels. It's cool that you can play some games with your remote, and I like that it has an earphone jack which I use constantly use whiley gf sleeps. But overall I'm just not that impressed. If xfinity gives the thumbs up for the TV app, then this would get 5 stars. I just really dislike how outdated the user interface feels

Simple Set up

We got tired of how much we were "saving" by bundling. We did homework, and the Roku 3 offered for us the best combination of price, options and ease of use. The only thing that I do not like very much is the process to enter data through the remote. Over, over over over, up up, over over and finally enter. But then I remember the days when I actually had to get up off my butt and walk over to the TV to change the channel or adjust the volume, so not really that much of an inconvenince...:)

The streaming is seamless and the product is extremely easy to set up. The onscreen keyboard is a bit cumbersome but all in all I highly recommend this player.
