Great Device

This is my 4th one. Two of them died after a year. Need to include Yupptv for US market

I am an owner of an Apple TV and a roku 3. I love live streams of local news, my only wish is to get abc cbs, fox, and local over air live streams, we have the technology.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good little device for streaming to TV

I don't have cable and was previously streaming Netflix and Hulu via a Wii. When I upgraded to HDTV, I decided to buy the Roku as well. There are a ton of "apps" to choose from, some free, some paid. I've had the Roku about a month and have had it "freeze" on me a couple of times, but you can use a code on the remote or just unplug it and plug it back in to reset. I was disappointed with the Spotify "app" on Roku.. first, you have to be a premium member in order to even use it, but worse as a Spotify premium member, I found that my songs were just randomly listed and there were no sorting features in the Roku "app". Easier and better to just stream from my laptop or phone directly to my stereo and bypass the TV and Roku altogether for Spotify. Pandora, on the other hand, works great. :) Aside from the couple of hiccupps, the Roku is way better than using a Wii to stream content to the TV, and I'm still exploring all the "apps" available.

I bought the Roku 3 as a family Christmas present, and it has been a wonderful addition to the home entertainment scene.Set up and downloading channels is easy, and hooking to the sound system was a great value added feature.

Tired of buying a terrible Blu-Ray or DVD player just to stream netflix? Then buy this ROKU, it simply works, no complicated junk, just works plain and simple.
