What you felt needed is now available in Roku3

I have been using Roku since Roku 1 days and always use to feel that there needs to be more in terms of why youtube, iPad like apps, HD content, super fast setup was not there. Now with Roku 3 we have a nice fast device with a beautiful eco system which has all the apps that you can think of from a entertainment perspective especially youtube added is good. Good luck with this product and look forward to continual innovation from the Roku team. My wish list would be that in future they get an improved UI, seamless screen mirroring, connected system and possible a touch/voice sensitive remote.

I've had the roku 3 for about a month and I'm sold. The channels are just great for a streaming couch potato like me and I really like the unobtrusive UI it presents. I have about 30 channels of movies primarily and it's great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Access to a usb exturnal hard drive or passbook

Roku 3 , while I haven't had this very long, I have it setup on a wireless LAN with 3 phones and 2 other laptops as well as a desktop hardwired to the router. I get issues when another sends data to the printer or something of that nature with buffering and repeating the show which can be annoying. we have a 15mb twc broadband connection we got after running this on a dsl 3mb which worked as well.
Over all it is what I expected and more in some cases , issues with plex because the plex server is limited for some reason, pent D duel core 3.0 processor in the desktop. Content is very limited in free content. access to the internet at will is not existent. while channels can access uploaded content from personal storage they can not access web site content as there is no web browser channel.
The free account I have with hulu while is nice, is not complete in channels series, it lacks the most recent episodes and or is limited to the last season which is not longer being aired such as blacklist has only 1 season of shows and the good wife ends at last years season leaving you hanging for the remaining shows to catch up to the over the air programing, I believe if I am paying a monthly fee, I should have more complete access to already aired episodes.
while I am happy to have more programing access with the roku than just over the air tv I would still like to access web content with this device.

We love the freedom of choosing our programming, along with it being so inexpensive. Its the best choice for families that are cutting back. It makes great economic sense to go with Roku.

To many subscription requirements

Yea it's great to buy a box that has all it has but by the time you spend all the money on subscriptions and old expensive movies it becomes not worth it. Still haven't found the best yet

Nice Features

Bought this about a month ago. Love it put the little box on back of my tv. Has lots of movies, music and tv shows. Hope in the future they make it so you can get your local channels and totally get out of Directv, and cable. But still love it.
